Day 2 Symposium Panel
Panelists:
Dr. William T. Donovan, has come to minister at Silverside Church through a long and interesting route. Raised Roman Catholic and the eighth of ten children, he expressed a desire to serve in ministry at a young age. Will entered the churches seminary and studied in New York and in Rome, Italy. Pastor Will has a Ph.D. in Theology from Fordham University and is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. He’s the 25th pastor of Silverside Church.
Ms. Chiara Fox-Molock is the Career Development and Education Liaison at Ferris School for adjudicated youth. Chiara’s knowledge and expertise is in the work of ensuring that our DSCYF students are college and career ready. In particular, the readiness for meeting standards for Career and Technical Education requirements for Delaware students, while identifying programs and services available through state and community partners that work with incarcerated youth.
Mr. James Simmons III is the Chief Equity Officer for Delaware’s Department of Education. Born and raised in Wilmington Delaware, Mr. Simmons is a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Following graduation, he attended West Point Military Academy prep School before transferring to the University of Delaware where he earned a B.A. degree in Earth Science education. He also earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Delaware State University.
Mr. Daniel M. Elkins is the Director of Community Engagement at the Bellevue Community Center. He has more than a decade of experience teaching young people strategic thinking and service learning while managing federal and state substance abuse prevention grants.
At the conclusion of symposium, we’ll gather for pizza, snacks, pastries, and beverages in fellowship hall.
