Returning speaker Mr. John Schmidt

Title: GAMING, GAMBLING, SOCIAL MEDIA RISKS, and its Influences.

Mr. Schmidt is Director of Youth Prevention Services for Delaware Council on Gambling Problems. John conducts presentations at middle and high schools in Delaware, informing students of disordered gambling and its connection to gambling mechanisms within video games. Clinically trained in the areas of disordered gaming, John earned his certification in Gambling Addiction through the University of Minnesota Duluth and he’s a research partner with the University of Delaware on gambling and video gaming with in-depth surveys of Delaware 6th and 9th graders.
